Good lord, why would they change this?
In Vista SP1, Microsoft disabled the ability to use the /console switch for logging onto the console session when using Remote Desktop. The ‘fix’ is to use mstsc /admin

A side note, I’m on Windows XP SP3 and I have to use the /admin as well, I found out today it won’t work with /console. It must be the latest version of Remote Desktop.

Lots of people, even the ones working on IT doesn’t understand what a “console” is, I think is that simple.
